FAQ
Questions and Answers
If I Book a Course, What is the Duration?
The outdoor season courses start in mid-April and run until the summer vacations. After this break, they continue in September until the end of the season in early October. In the indoor season, the courses start in mid-October and run until mid-March – there is no training during the Christmas and semester vacations.
Individual Training, Group of 2, Group of 4 – What is the Difference and What is Recommended?
At the Tennisakademie Post SV, group training sessions are held with a maximum of four participants plus a trainer. It is also possible to arrange individual training sessions, i.e. alone with a trainer, or to train with a coach in pairs. In individual training sessions, more focus can of course be placed on individual needs in order to improve specific areas. In group training sessions, most exercises are completed together with the participants – the focus is more on interaction. For children who do not play at tournament or championship level, we recommend training in a group of 4, as many children’s enjoyment of the sport is linked to training friendships.
I Am Interested in Group Training – Can You Find Suitable Sparring Partners for Me?
We put together our training groups according to age and skill level. If you can assess your own skills well, we can usually find a suitable group for you. If you are unsure, you are welcome to arrange an individual training session so that a coach can get an idea of your skills and we can find a group that suits you.
I Don’t Have My Own Racket – Can I Borrow one from You?
You are welcome to borrow a loan racket or a test racket from our equipment partner “Head” for your tennis lesson – free of charge, of course!
When is the Best Time to Register for a Course?
We recommend that new customers register about one to two months before the respective course starts. Existing customers initially have the opportunity to extend their courses up to a specified deadline. Free places will be allocated to new customers after the deadline has expired – ranked according to the time of registration.
Is a Tennis Course Automatically Linked to Membership of the Postsportverein?
No, you can take part in tennis courses without being a member.
What are the Advantages of Membership?
With a membership in the tennis section of the Postsportverein, you can use the courts free of charge during the entire outdoor season and play with other members. Members can also take part in championships and club events. There is no membership during the winter season.
I Have Registered for a Course on your Website, What Happens Now?
You will receive an automatic response from our registration system when your registration has been received and is being processed. We will then contact you to see whether there are still free and suitable course places available at your desired time. During the intensive registration phase in March/April or September/October, we ask for your understanding that it may take a few days for us to contact you due to the large number of inquiries.
How are the Course Fees Paid?
After registration and the agreement of your training dates, we will send you the invoice by email. You can either pay this by bank transfer or at your first tennis lesson in the office – in cash or with a debit or credit card.
Can I Join a Course Later?
It is also possible to join ongoing courses that are not yet full. The course fees will of course be charged on a pro rata basis, i.e. less the hours that have already taken place before joining.
Why are the Course Fees Higher in Winter than in Summer?
The training costs are the same all year round. The difference lies in the court costs, which are higher in the hall in winter than outdoors.
Until when Can I Cancel a Tennis Lesson or Course Session?
If you cancel your lesson 24 hours in advance or announce that you will not be taking part in the next course unit, there will be no costs for you. Lessons and course units that are canceled later or not at all will be charged in full. For courses, the hour is then considered consumed.
Can I Make up for a Course Session that I Canceled in Good Time?
Yes, you have the option of canceling a course session twice during the season and making it up at another date. It is best to contact our office to do so.
What Happens in Bad Weather?
During the outdoor season, it is possible that the tennis courts may not be playable temporarily in bad weather. You can find out whether your lesson can take place on our homepage. You will always find the latest weather information directly on the homepage.
What Happens to My Tennis Lesson if the Courts are not Playable?
In the outdoor season, we have planned a rain day for all courses that will not be charged. If training is canceled due to the weather, this rain day will be consumed. If the training cannot take place again, you can take advantage of a replacement date. You can arrange and consume this by the end of the outdoor season. It is not possible to add the hour to the end of the course, as the construction of the inflatable halls starts directly at the end of the outdoor season. A refund or postponement to the indoor season is also not possible.
